Turn on the 6-digit code at sign-in, save backup codes, and what to do if you lose your phone.

Turn it on
Two-factor adds a code from your phone to every new sign-in, so a leaked password alone cannot open your account.
- 1Go to Account, Security, and press Set up two-factor.
- 2Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as 1Password, Google Authenticator or Authy.
- 3Type the 6-digit code it shows to confirm.
- 4Save the 10 backup codes somewhere safe, such as your password manager.
Lost your phone
On the code step at sign-in, choose Use a backup code. Each backup code works once. Once you are in, make new codes or turn two-factor off and on again with your new phone.
